Article I

We the undersigned do hereby found an organization by the name of The Committee for Creative Enactments (CCE) and provide this constitution as foundation and guide for all activities performed by its members.

Article II

The purpose of the Committee for Creative Enactments is to provide an outlet for Boston College students to raise money for charities through creative programming. It is the goal of the organization to attract a diverse selection of students to plan, prepare and participate in such activities.

Members of the organization who fail to comply with any of the above criteria may be asked to leave the club by a unanimous vote of the officers. In the case that an officer does not fulfill his duty, a unanimous vote of the other three officers and a majority vote of the membership is necessary to remove him. Any person who desires to join the club and meets the above criteria will be admitted, irrespective of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, handicap or sexual orientation.

The members of this organization have the following voting privileges:
A. Each member is allotted one vote equal in weight to the vote granted every other member in the club.
B. Each member of the organization will be allowed to vote on each of the following:
1. Officer election

3. Type of production
4. Agenda of production
5. Type and composition of sub-committees, if necessary
6. Nature of charity
7. Amending the constitution
8. Impeachment of officers
C. Persons not present at pre-scheduled meetings during which voting occurs will forfeit their right to vote on proposals enacted during that meeting.
D. Proposals must be forwarded and seconded (and discussed if desired) before voting occurs.
E. Voting may not take place in unscheduled meetings unless at least 2/3 of the club are present.
F. In the case of ties, the officers will decide the result. In the case of an officer tie, the President casts the deciding vote.

Article IV

The following are the titles and responsibilities of the elected officials:
A. President: in charge of interaction between the organization and the Boston College administration and leading the scheduled meetings.
B. Vice-President: leads scheduled meetings in the event that the President cannot, is responsible for keeping any and all paperwork associated with an event, and assisting the President as necessary.
C. Treasurer: in charge of the distribution and monitoring of funds.
D. Communications Director: keeping minutes of meetings, directing internal communication, and organizing external publicity.

An officer may be impeached by means of a 2/3 membership vote. Should a new officer then be required, new nominations and subsequent elections will be held at the next meeting.

Article V

Regular meetings will occur at least once per academic month. Each meeting's time and place will be decided at the previous meeting, or through contact of all members by the officers.

Executive meetings will take place as required, and will occur at least once every week.

As the production date nears, it is expected that membership and executive meetings will occur more frequently.

B. Has attended at least 3/4 of the scheduled meetings, and
C. Has actively participated in all organization activities.

Elections for the subsequent year's officials will be held each spring before the production, in the course of two meetings. Candidates will be nominated at the first of these meetings, and elections will be held at the second.

Article VII

This constitution may be amended by a 2/3 membership vote. Amendments may be proposed at any time, but must be discussed before they are voted upon.
